Academic Honesty / Cheating / Plagiarism Policy
With the advent of AI-assisted tools, programs, and sites cheating and plagiarizing has become a lot easier and convenient. AI can be used to get you started with ideas, and even help you better understand math/science problems you don't understand, but it shouldn't be used to generate answers for you to just copy & paste and turn in as if it was your own work (that is literal plagiarism).
What's most important to Mr. Huy, as an educator, is just effort and honesty. I know there's a lot of mounting pressure to do well these days to "get ahead" in education/career-building but all I'm looking for is students that try their best, and be honest and light-hearted about it all.

- Submit work that was mostly to fully generated by "AI" technology/programs, as your own
- Use outside sources (not limited to just "AI" technology/programs) when instructed not to use during an assessment (whether remote or in-class)
- Use devices (not limited to just "AI" technology/programs) when instructed not to use during an assessment (whether remote or in-class)
- Use outside sources (not limited to just "AI" technology/programs) when instructed not to use during an assessment (whether remote or in-class)
- Talking/communicating with someone else besides yourself during an assessment (whether remote or in-class)
First Time Caught :

Second Time Caught :1. I will take your exam and give you a zero with absolutely no sort of opportunity to make-up work
2. Meeting with Principal, Counselor, and parent(s) 3. Any future assessments/projects will need to be done in-class (even if you need to take off for future-personal trips, you will need to find time before you go on the trip) |
